Bed of Jasmines
In South Indian traditions, jasmine flowers symbolize the pure essence of love, often intertwined with the celebration of blossoming marriages. In the painting I tried to subvert the fragility of the flowers, depicting the flowers as rigid and straight, to comment on the constricting views of society on what defines purity.
